In EYOF Tbilisi 2015, Slovenia’s duo of Kaja Juvan and Nika Radisic earned the gold medal. In the finals, Slovenia’s unseeded duo, defeated Andrea Priscariu and Selma Cadar of Romania in a very close match 4:6 6:3 7:5.

Romania’s lead was conspicuous in the first set. Though the Romanian duo kept up this performance in the second set, they eventually lost to the opponents by three games. The break point in the eleventh game of the third set proved decisive for the Juvan/Radisic duo, ensuring their victory.

The Slovenian duo made five double faults against Romania’s three.

“We are very happy that our successful and solid duo was formed. From the very beginning, the gold medal was a main objective of all tennis players involved. I am happy that together we succeeded in earning the gold medal” said Juvan.

The Russian duo of Taisiya Pachkaleva and Sofya Lansere faced Martina Waltert and Katherina Kueng of Switzerland for the bronze medal. The Swiss duo won the match with 6:4 6:2.
