InformationEYOF Tbilisi 2015 Security Department cooperates closely with the state and municipal police to ensure safe and secure Festival for all participants. Security officials will operate at the Athletes’ Village and sport venues to provide the adequate and necessary security measures present during all the phases of EYOF from the moment of delegates’ arrival at the airport, in accommodation facilities, at the competition and training venues as well as internal transportation. The EYOF Organizing Committee will have security service on the entrance check points in all Festival venues to ensure that only authorised persons are allowed in designated areas. The EYOF OC strongly advises that all the EYOF participants be careful with the traffic and follow the traffic regulations using the traffic and pedestrian zones. Security officials will adhere in their work to detailed operation manuals and regulations at all the venues and areas. The Security Department provides:
Applicable Legislation Subject to the Law effective in the country it is prohibited to possess arms, ammunition or explosives on the territory of Georgia. It is prohibited to bring into the AVL any types of spirits, alcoholic beverages and any item that may be deemed as risky for the safety of the residents. Security Policy at the Athletes’ Village AVL will be surrounded by a perimeter fences. Access to the Athletes’ Village and its residential zone i.e. nine residential blocks, will be possible only for Accreditation Card holders. The perimeter will be guarded 24 hours a day. All accredited persons are requested to wear their Accreditation Cards visibly at all times to show it to the security staff, when necessary. Only the vehicles with valid Vehicle Access & Parking Permits are allowed to access AVL parking areas. AVL is a non-smoking area.
