Gymnast Dmitrii Govorov Earns Fifth Bronze Medal for Georgia

In EYOF, in boys' vault, Georgia’s Dmitrii Govorov came in third with 14.150 points earning the bronze medal.

Altogether, eight gymnasts took part in vaults. Sharamkop Iakho of Belarus outdid his opponents and took gold; the silver medal went to Great Britain’s Lorenzo Regini-Moran with 14.400 points.

“This is my first victory in such a big championship. The public’s support helped me a lot. Had I performed the first jump a little better I would have competed for the first prize. The second run was also not so good. Yet I regained strength and had a good final jump” said Dmitrii Govorov.

At the moment, Georgia has eight medals.
